WHAT KINDS OF JOBS WORK ON LABOR.?
Same-day, on-site, hourly or fixed-pay work. Think landscaping, moving help, event setup, warehouse, kitchen, construction labor, snow removal, cleaning. If it's something a verified local worker can show up and do today, it fits.
WHO PAYS THE 15% FEE?
The employer pays on top of the worker's pay. If a job is posted at $100, the employer's card is charged $115. The worker receives the full $100 (less the small percentage Stripe charges for processing). Workers see exactly what they'll take home before they apply.
WHAT ABOUT TAXES?
Workers on Labor. are independent contractors — you're responsible for your own taxes. We send a 1099-K through Stripe if your total earnings cross IRS reporting thresholds. We don't withhold anything. Talk to an accountant if you have questions about your specific situation.
IS THIS LIKE TASKRABBIT OR UBER WORKS?
